What Is Digital Blueprinting?

Digital blueprinting encompasses all hardware, software, people, and processes that a business uses to define the means by which they conduct their business. Many businesses grow their technology support on a reactionary basis and they can become disjointed over time. This leads to inefficiencies.

Who benefits from Digital Blueprinting?

By nature of their resources, small and medium businesses are traditionally the organizations that struggle with technological adaptations. This is true not only in hardware and software but also in processes. These can be critically important as getting your systems right can be fundamental in providing the tools necessary for competitive advantage and growth.

What is The Process Like?

We want to become the ringers you bring on to your team to make upgrading your systems easier.

We are business people ourselves and our goal is to give you unbiased support in evaluating your business and the options available for improvement.

Each business is unique, so each blueprint will be unique. There is a right answer: your right answer.

1. We get to know you
We know two things.  Your business is unique and to succeed you need to continually adapt.  We take the time to understand your business and we keep up to date with the technologies that are or will impact you.  This allows us to tailor your improvement path.
2. We create your business blueprints
The first blueprint we create is how your business is working today. This is your “as built” and maps how the people, processes, and technology are either adding or removing friction from your business. With this we identify the largest constraint to increasing your profitability. This is used to design the future blueprints for your business, including how these will impact your bottom line. With these you can make informed decisions on how to advance your business into the future.
3. We manage implementation
Unless your business is an IT business, it doesn’t make sense for you to develop the skills necessary to implement technology projects. This is where we come in. We will manage the implementation of these projects. We will negotiate with vendors, hire independent project contractors, and implement test programs to ensure what was promised is delivered.
4. We make sure it works
Works means two key things, the expected results are achieved and that you take full control and ownership of the system.  This means employees can be trained and operational improvements become part of the work, not a distraction.
5. We support you
While our goal is that you become a learning organization, one that takes full ownership of their future, we will always stand by you. We understand that you may always need support and we will be here.  We hope to help you continually upgrade your problems.

Independent Advice

It’s tough to find truly independent advice. We do not work for or represent anyone but our customers. This allows us to give honest evaluations of various services without the bias of employer influence.

We are dedicated to helping small and medium businesses strengthen their workflow and processes to increase productivity and efficiency to achieve their business goals. We believe that healthy local businesses are the key to healthy communities and we are committed to help them grow.

Have a successful launch

There is a little more to a successful launch than just deciding to do it. Yes, it’s easy to pick an off the shelf service and sign a contract but then comes the dreaded question, “Now what?”

Will your people embrace the new system? Will it work with your other systems? How much time and effort will it take to work as promised? Will add to or take away from the bottom line? All legitimate questions you wish you would have thought out first.

You can get ahead of the curve and have positive answers to those questions. It requires realistic evaluations, a solid understanding or your current systems and a clearly defined destination to come up with a plan that will work. It helps to have an objective outside source.

Consider…

“The first rule of any technology used in a business is that automation applied to an efficient operation will magnify the efficiency. The second is that automation applied to an inefficient operation will magnify the inefficiency.”
Bill Gates

“Efficiency is doing things right; effectiveness is doing the right things”
Peter Drucker
